eLearning WAshington is excited to provide outstanding courses for students & schools.

All of our courses are rich, rigorous, relevant, enjoyable and delivered from the most awarded learning management system on the planet!

Importantly,  each course comes with a highly qualified, subject matter expert, who is an experienced online instructor.

Each course is mapped to applicable essential academic learning standards–which may include one or more of the following:

  1. Washington State Learning Standards.
  2. Common Core (adopted by Washington State in 2011 as their learning standards)
  3. Next Generation Science Standards.
  4. Applicable subject-specific national standards or, industry standards.

In every case, our goal is to go beyond the lowest common denominator and provide students with the best learning opportunity possible.

eLearning WAshington currently offers many courses that are highest in demand for students looking to supplement their academic schedule and graduate from a Washington State high school.

eLearning WAshington operates year-round with three Terms that coincide with most state high schools:

  • Fall
  • Spring
  • Summer

TERMS & CREDITS

  • Half credit (0.5 credit) semester courses are:
    • One term (approximately 18 weeks)
    • Approximately 75-90 hours of student work.
    • Available for registration & enrollment anytime.
  • Whole credit (1.0 credit) year-long courses are:
    • Two terms: Fall & Spring (or by prior arrangement)
    • AP Courses (Fall & Spring only) to conclude in advance of AP testing dates in the Spring

Payment: Student/families pay per course, per term.

‌ Finish EARLY!  Students may finish a course as fast as they want.

‌ Need MORE Time?  For semester courses, students may pay for an additional term to complete their class and demonstrate their understanding of objectives to earn the grade they want.

Subject Area Course Credits required for Washington State High School Graduation.

NEW FOR THE CLASS OF 2019: INCREASE in credits required to graduate= 24

Historically: From Class of 1985 to Class of 2012, only 19 credits were required for Washington State high school graduation. (source)

The phase-in to the 24‐credit graduation requirement started in:

  • 2013 = One additional math credit, increase in total credits to 20.
  • 2016 = One additional English credit, and .5 credits of social studies.
  • 2019 = One additional lab science credit and three Personalized Pathway requirements= increase in total credits to 24.
